About this paper

OGSBI estimates directions of incoming waves by combining a candidate-angle grid with bounded local angular corrections. It uses a first-order steering-vector approximation and a hierarchical Bayesian sparse model; OGSBI-SVD applies the method to a reduced signal subspace. In a single-snapshot simulation, it achieved −45.1 dB versus STLS’s −36.5 dB and took 0.098 versus 5.31 seconds, but speed was not universal.
