CommSense repurposes GSM channel estimates to sense environmental changes without adding a radar transmitter. It correlates received signals with the known GSM training sequence and uses channel information, including multipath effects. At one location, captures under three weather conditions formed distinct groups in a principal component analysis plot. This is feasibility evidence, not validated classification; narrow bandwidth limits sensing.
