About this paper

Christian Zimmermann, Thomas Brox

The system estimates 3D hand pose from an RGB image by detecting 2D keypoints and using PosePrior to predict articulation in a canonical frame. It outputs scale-normalized, translation-invariant poses. On ground-truth 2D score maps, endpoint error falls from 20.2 to 18.5 millimeters on R-train and from 20.9 to 18.8 on R-val. This measures normalized pose, not RGB-only position or scale.
