About this paper
Sanjukta Krishnagopal, Michelle Girvan, Edward Ott, Brian Hunt
The authors train a recurrent reservoir computer (RC) on separate signal examples, then use evolving states and a fitted linear readout to recover a component from one mixture. In Lorenz tests with near-matched spectra, normalized mean-square error at mixing fraction 0.5 was 0.48 for the RC and 1.02 for an estimated Wiener filter. Tests assume representative training traces.
