About this paper

Luchen Li, Ignacio Albert-Smet, Aldo A. Faisal

The authors introduce a model for choosing intravenous fluids and vasopressors for sepsis patients from incomplete records. It represents each patient using prior observations and actions, then simulates plausible next states to compare continuous-dose choices. In a pilot with three intensive-care consultants and ten patient trajectories, its fluid C-score was 0.644, above reference actions; this measures acceptability, not clinical benefit.
