SCOFF separates each object’s changing state from reusable rules for updating it. Each object file attends to relevant input, selects a schema, and can exchange information with other object files. On IntPhys’s significant-occlusion subset, SCOFF’s relative classification error for “Disappear” is 0.34 ± 0.05, versus 0.43 ± 0.05 for RMC. This benchmark result does not establish general physical understanding.
