About this paper

Hang Miao, Kui Zhao, Zhun Wang, Linbo Jiang, Quanhui Jia, Yanming Fang, Quan Yu

The paper models how a customer’s credit balance may grow after credit-limit increases. It estimates customer-specific response curves, uses a log treatment transformation to represent diminishing marginal effects, and applies GBDT feature encoding before outcome regression. On a grouped test metric, the best model reached 38.30% RMAE versus 47.58% for single GBDT, in a virtual test, not a real business situation.
