About this paper

This review surveys pothole-detection approaches and argues that pixel-level segmentation can locate damaged road regions, while maintenance measurements still require three-dimensional geometry. It describes adding a graph attention layer to DeepLabv3+. In a 2021 benchmark, this model reached 75.008% mean intersection over union, versus 69.011% for standard DeepLabv3+ on transformed-disparity images, limited to that dataset and protocol.
