About this paper

Zaman Keinath-Esmail

The authors show that, for concept classes closed under exception lists, polynomial PAC learnability implies a consistent Occam algorithm with a VC-dimension bound independent of δ. They first convert the learner to a functional model, then correct sample errors by modifying its hypothesis on exception points. The result is theoretical and applies to the strong-learning setting analyzed.
