About this paper
Alistair Francis, Mikolaj Czerkawski
The authors propose Major TOM, a geographic indexing and metadata standard for joining independently sourced geospatial datasets by location. They demonstrate it with MajorTOM-Core, a Sentinel-2 collection of about 2.25 million samples and 2,561.7 gigapixels of L1C data. It covers almost all Sentinel-2 observation area, but gaps remain and interoperability is not experimentally measured.
