A4O combines several weakened, different kinds of trigger to make a composite backdoor for image classifiers. The authors train with examples in which individual or altered trigger components retain their original labels, while the full combination receives a target label. Across three tested datasets, attack success is near 100%; defense results are mixed and do not establish universal evasion.
