About this paper

Elias Zea, Marco Laudato, Joakim andén

Boostlets represent measured acoustic wavefields with localized waveforms that shift, scale, and adjust phase velocity through hyperbolic rotation. The authors compare them with wavelets and shearlets in reconstruction and hard-threshold denoising tests on one-dimensional space–time recordings. Boostlets yield lower reconstruction and denoising errors across tested conditions, including 31.09% error in a 10 dB example; evidence is limited to these acoustic fields.
