About this paper
Sanskar Sehgal, Yanhong A. Liu
LogicLease assesses New York rental-law disputes by extracting facts from natural-language accounts and checking them against explicit Prolog rules. It returns relevant legal statements and a judgment, rather than asking an LLM to generate the legal reasoning. The authors report correct results in all 10 manually reviewed cases, but the small, mixed dataset does not establish broad legal reliability.
