About this paper
Bertrand Meyer, Reto Weber
PRISM defines programs as relations between states paired with preconditions, building programming constructs from set operations. For a conditional, it restricts each branch to states where its condition or complement holds, then combines them. The authors mechanically check proofs in Isabelle/HOL and derive laws rather than assuming them. The framework covers constructs, while leaving assignment and paradigms for future work.
