About this paper
Archisman Ghosh, Avimita Chatterjee, Swaroop Ghosh
The authors use a guided evolutionary search to optimize T-depth and T-count in quantum circuits. The method expands T-gate layers, uses greedy filtering, and searches for valid layer merges that preserve phase. On synthetic benchmarks, it reports 79.23% T-depth and 41.86% T-count reductions; for heavily T-dense circuits, GA reports 48.72% versus lookahead’s 23.57% T-depth reduction, not a hardware demonstration.
