About this paper
Darya Parygina, Timofey Mezhuev, Daniil Kuts
Sydr-Fuzz combines directed fuzzing with symbolic execution, exchanging inputs and prioritizing solver analysis using target-related feedback. Across five projects and seven target cases, it reported crash discovery in 61 seconds for libxml target 2, versus 300 seconds for the pure directed fuzzer, about 4.9 times lower time to exposure. It had the best result in three cases; the comparison does not isolate causes.
