An end-to-end quantum algorithm is developed for pricing single-asset autocallable options, including early redemption, barrier activation, and path-dependent knock-in payoffs. By preparing an exponential reference state only over the payoff-relevant interval, the method reduces the modeled payoff-circuit T-depth by about 50× versus a QSP-based implementation, while simulations of up to 33 qubits agree with discretized classical benchmarks within IQAE confidence intervals.
Key insights
- Restricting exponential state preparation to the relevant payoff interval changes the normalization from a full-register range to a domain matched to the option, improving amplitude utilization.
- Parallelizing exponential-state preparation with Gaussian loading and arithmetic leaves a controlled comparator as the principal serial component of the payoff-loading routine.
- Circuit-level resource reductions do not by themselves establish practical quantum advantage: Gaussian preparation, arithmetic, fault tolerance, and repeated IQAE oracle calls can become the dominant costs.
