i-Mask classifies activity from temperature and humidity changes in exhaled breath measured by sensors in a wearable mask. In a controlled indoor study of 20 volunteers aged 20–30, kNN achieved 96.4% accuracy across running, walking, sitting, and lying down, versus 95.7% for a decision tree. The result is limited to these participants and activities.
