About this paper

Rubén Pérez-Jove, Osvaldo Simeone, Alejandro Pazos, Jose Vázquez-Naya

The authors apply conformal prediction to hierarchical OS fingerprinting, comparing level-wise calibration (L-CP) with leaf calibration and ancestor projection (P-CP). At miscoverage 0.10, family mean set sizes are 0.915 and 1.063, respectively; L-CP has HIR 0.237, while P-CP has 0.000 by construction. The comparison uses one university-network dataset; guarantees are marginal under exchangeability.
