The authors package a complete MPI stack with neuroscience software in an Apptainer image and connect it to cluster resources through Slurm and PMIx. The same image ran unmodified on Karolina and JURECA-DC. In two-node NCCL AllReduce tests, container and native bandwidth agreed within 0.09% and 0.01%, respectively, but GPU Arbor runs were 12–19% slower, for an unresolved cause.
