About this paper

Matteo Ballegeer, Dries F. Benoit

BenDFM organizes manufacturability labels by whether they depend on a machine, tool, or process setup and whether they measure feasibility or complexity. It provides 20,000 synthetic sheet-metal bending parts with CAD geometry, sequences, and labels, generated from simulated tool interactions. On BenDFM-U, UV-Net reached 81.80% accuracy and 0.896 AUC, but synthetic labels and fixed tooling limit real-world transfer.
