About this paper

Tasfia Tasnim, Soneya Binta Hossain

PITMuS converts PIT’s bytecode-level mutation reports into Java source edits and method pairs. It maps mutation descriptions to JVM instructions, then uses bytecode and line information when available, or a source-order fallback, to locate and rewrite code. Across eight Java systems, it produced 69,198 pairs from 69,229 records, a 99.96% reconstruction yield—not a measure of edit correctness, compilation, or test success.
