About this paper
Leni Aniva, Claire Wang
Prismriver is a Lean 4 library that formalizes music theory so claims about pitches, intervals, scales, transformations, and composition rules can be checked by proof. It separates note spelling from accidental and represents intervals through a general scale interface. The authors prove transformation laws and a correspondence with the D12 action for equal-tempered major/minor triads, not arbitrary-scale chords.
