About this paper

Niels Mündler-Sasahara, Hristo Venev, Dawn Song, Martin Vechev, Jingxuan He

The authors introduce generative compilation, which checks unfinished Rust code by sealing its partial structure with type-compatible placeholders and passing it to the standard compiler. Diagnostics are mapped back to the original code so a model can revise it. On GLM 5.2’s UpdatedAPI task, compiler-error rate fell from 45.0% to 16.7%; this measured result is not a universal guarantee.
