About this paper

Anushka Mukherjee, Kang He, Kaushik Roy

DRC-Aid repairs local geometric design-rule violations in transistor-level layouts by having an LLM choose from a bounded menu of edits, which physical-design tools verify after each change. The system uses layout state and action history to guide a budgeted search. On 60 perturbed FreePDK45 layouts, Qwen-80B achieved 92.8% strict success; results cover geometric DRCs, not timing-aware or general-foundry repair.
