The authors model X-Stage, the finite sender-side window between a GPU accepting a remote write and its becoming visible at the destination. Their calibrated Burst–Gap model and microbenchmarks characterize recovery and capacity, then guide burst spacing in fused kernels. In MegaMoE, interleaving yields 1.18× geometric-mean speedup across 84 configurations, though balanced cases regress; this shows sender progress, not remote readiness.
