About this paper

Chi-Sheng Chen, Gabriel A. Brat

The authors present a capture-clock method and open TypeScript harness for measuring browser webcam-gaze latency, demonstrated with WebGazer and FaceMesh+KRR. The method pairs estimates with their source frames using requestVideoFrameCallback metadata; opaque engines yield only lower bounds. In a single-user sweep, p95 inference latency was 27.0 ms for FaceMesh+KRR and at least 52.0 ms for WebGazer, not a tracker ranking.
