PICANet improves infrared small-target segmentation by guiding a network with separate spatial and contour priors, then adaptively interacting those priors with multilevel features. Its ablations indicate that prior-feature interaction adds benefit beyond supplying prior maps. On IRSTD-1k with U-Net, it reaches 70.31% mIoU, versus 67.44% for L-RPCANet; it uses more parameters and longer GPU inference time.
