About this paper
Md Asif Iqbal Fahim, Alessio Ferrari
ReqEvolve lets users describe software needs in language and turns them into testable requirements and features users can try. It checks and clarifies stories, decomposes them into acceptance criteria, then iteratively generates and tests code. Across 72 stories in 18 synthetic Python projects, GPT-4.1 achieved 89.2% Pass@1, versus 56.6% without requirements engineering; results cover functional correctness, not user validation or deployment.
