About this paper

Naoyuki Uchida

The method estimates per-pixel scotopic-to-photopic luminance ratios from RGB by applying fixed photopic and scotopic weights after Bradford adaptation to D65. Against hyperspectral references, it achieves a median absolute error of 0.0657 across three daylight observations and 0.0245 on 50 independent scenes, with 45 meeting 0.10 tolerance. This applies to natural broadband scenes, not appearance fidelity or narrowband sources.
