The authors present a method for reconstructing anatomy beyond the field of view in dental cone-beam CT. It fits an implicit neural representation to truncated projections, extends the projections, reconstructs a volume, and refines it with a diffusion model. On ex vivo pig-jaw scans, three-step INR-IR-DDPM achieved SSIM 0.985 ± 0.006 versus 0.979 ± 0.010 for IR-DDPM; MMDental results were comparable.
