About this paper

Yichun Feng, Jiawei Wang, Haozhe Sun

SkillPivot improves reusable tool-use skills for LLM agents by locating a deviation in a failed trajectory, preserving its useful prefix, and comparing the failed continuation with a teacher’s successful continuation from the same history. On ToolQA, its SkillPivot-g5 corpus raises mean success across six task groups from 53.18±0.32% to 59.36±0.20%, within the evaluated setting.
