The authors introduce XRepoSkill, which learns debugging guidance by comparing successful and failed runs on the same issue, testing candidate behaviors across repositories, and selecting relevant rules for inference-time use. On DeepSWE, it resolves 44.2% of issues, versus 33.9% with no learned skill and 39.2% with Trace2Skill, in a fixed mini-SWE-agent setup; evaluation repositories were absent from the learning pool.
