HERMES detects account-takeover fraud by combining time-safe links to earlier sessions with daily summaries of the broader fraud ecosystem. On a one-year dataset of over 130 million high-risk sessions at one U.S. financial institution, it lowered the flag rate at 50% fraud recall and raised recall at a 5% flag rate versus production XGBoost. The offline evaluation does not establish transfer beyond this institution or directly measure customer experience.
