About this paper

Ansuman Mullick, Eray Tüzün

The authors study whether readers can detect forbidden records before retrieval using value-free lifecycle counts and attribute names. They distinguish negative-obligation knowledge from coverage and test synthetic stores with fixed questions. Models can use counts when names are absent, but lookup remains competitive; only Sol reliably beats it in an equal-length control. Results concern monitoring, not answer quality.
