About this paper

Duong Nguyen, Nicolas Chesneau, Milan Bhan

The authors test whether five tabular foundation models combine context labels with fixed feature-based weights or let one label change another’s influence. They develop two curvature certificates that account for standardized labels and distinguish joint processing from independent nonlinear label transformations. All five models show joint processing; its share averages 63.0% across 20 settings, but this does not establish improved accuracy.
