The authors model an electric grid as a fixed computational operator for image classification. An encoder converts images into voltage perturbations at selected nodes; the simulated network transforms them, and a digital decoder classifies measured currents. The pipeline correctly classified 91.50% of the first 400 MNIST test images in simulation, demonstrating a hybrid proof of concept, not hardware deployment.
