About this paper

Qing Li, Sara Wade

The authors introduce a noise-aware Bayesian clustering method: predictive resampling generates uncertain density shapes, and connected observations above a threshold form clusters while others remain inactive. Weighted representatives summarize the resulting clusterings. On a 250-point synthetic ring example, default summary has normalized VI-IA loss 0.082 versus DBSCAN’s 0.225, but leaves 73 of 90 clutter points inactive; another loss splits the ring.
