About this paper

Seokjun Lee, Sergio A. Ortega, Daniel K. Park, Namshik Han

VQIL learns edge weights and node phases on fixed graphs, then combines walk amplitudes before scoring nodes. On five protein–protein interaction networks, it reaches a mean Spearman correlation of 0.620 ± 0.167, versus 0.570 ± 0.150 for trained random-walk-with-restart. This advantage is for gene-response ranking; neural baselines score higher on power-grid voltage response. The evaluation is transductive on fixed graphs.
