About this paper
Ali Shahidinejad, Jamshid Aghaei, Mahdi Jalili
The authors present a peer-to-peer key-agreement protocol for smart meters. It pairs Kyber post-quantum key protection with a Hedera ledger for public-key checks and revocation, allowing meters to authenticate and establish a session key without a central intermediary. The estimated three-message execution takes about 496 μs, versus 2,172 μs for the lowest-time prior scheme; these are modeled operation times, not deployed network latency.
