About this paper
Lu Tian, Zhenhui Yuan, Zexin Deng, Wenjuan Zhang
The authors introduce Kinematic Age of Information (K-AoI), a metric that complements Age of Information (AoI) by weighting information age by end-effector Cartesian speed. It expresses motion-related staleness as a length and approximates spatial divergence when speed is locally constant. In a scripted teleoperation testbed, satellite-condition AoI and K-AoI had Spearman correlation +0.219, showing distinct measurements, not improved task performance.
