About this paper

Hao Chen, Junnan Xu

BrushOff redraws watermarked paintings as brush strokes with the training-free Paint Transformer renderer. It tests VINE against repainting rather than conventional distortions or diffusion regeneration. Repainting reduces VINE detection to 1.8%; at matched removal, its DreamSim distance is 0.265 versus 0.559 for regeneration. The evidence covers one renderer and paintings; texture changes, and content preservation is not established for image.
