About this paper
Darsh Kaushik, Noam Aigerman
The authors construct an injective flow on sphere-topology triangle meshes by solving a discrete harmonic scalar field with one source and sink, then rotating each triangle’s gradient by 90°. The proof guarantees noncrossing trajectories under positive edge weights and the stated conditions. On the 602,316-face Crab mesh, forward-and-backward advection has mean return error 1.011 × 10⁻⁹ meters; this measurement is not proof.
