About this paper
Chenyi Tong, Ping Nie, Yu Zhang
CiteAnchor checks citation fields against retrieved records, using source-aware search and staged verification to distinguish invalid citations from recoverable sources. It returns a corrected source only when evidence supports a unique identity, otherwise abstaining. On CiteResolve, it achieves 74.7% end-to-end success, versus 58.4% for Web Search. This measures bibliographic validity, not claim support; the benchmark is paper-heavy.
