About this paper

Victor Li, Owen Tucker, Michael S. Hughes, Temiloluwa Prioleau, Shengpu Tang

The authors evaluate T1D digital twins by both glucose prediction error and treatment-ranking quality in a simulated benchmark. They compare predictions for 20 alternatives with simulated outcomes. Across 30 virtual patients, Prior has worse RMSE than Neural, 63.6 versus 32.9 mg/dL, but higher Spearman, 0.766 versus 0.049. These results are limited to this simulator and treatment set, not clinical validation.
