The authors introduce DDRA and sparse decoding for training samplers that request frames from videos. DDRA limits each target’s references to two intra-frame anchors, while sparse decoding reconstructs only requested frames and dependencies. Across three datasets, H.265 DDRA delivered 1.45× LeRobot v3’s loading throughput with 58.7% less media payload at comparable reconstruction quality; these tests do not establish training-speedups.
