About this paper

Luai Abuelsamen

The survey audits 113 learning-based dexterous-manipulation papers and examines whether reported results support comparison. It categorizes training methods and reporting, finding reinforcement learning in 54 papers and teacher–student distillation in 23. Although 89 of 112 report real-robot experiments, only 70 report trial counts. No paper reports penetration depth in the physics its policy ran in; the proposed evaluation protocol remains unvalidated.
