About this paper
Hajin Jeon, Hyung-Jin Yoon, Jemin Lee, Min-Soo Kim
VASCO coordinates patient-defined access to encrypted health records across institutions. It stores files in cloud storage and uses blockchain records and views to manage permissions without a key authority or secure key-exchange channel. The authors implement eight chaincodes and test a 21-peer Hyperledger Fabric network and 30 interoperability combinations. Their seven-criterion GDPR checklist rates VASCO fully compliant, but default uploads expose storage paths.
