About this paper

Halil Dursunoglu, Fatma Dursunoglu

The authors present an auditable method for simulated pump-outage recovery in water networks. It pairs outages with matched no-outage references, verifies pump shutdown, and tracks service and pressure separately. All 192 cases met the post-outage service criterion, but only 103 achieved sustained pressure recovery, while 65 had a pressure relapse. The findings apply to two benchmark networks and the simulation horizon.
