The survey organizes connected-humanoid research around communication, coordination, collaboration, and social intelligence, and explains how information, timing, and computation must fit each function and the robot’s body. In O-RACES, proactive scheduling reduced uplink latency by up to 50% and nearly eliminated falls in rough-terrain tests with up to 16 simulated humanoids on a real Open RAN testbed. No reviewed communication mechanism has been tested on a physical humanoid.
